Super Eagles took immediate control of the game, with an early goal from Joe Aribo. The Rangers midfielder finished off a fine team play in the third minute to make it 1-0. Gernot Rohr’s men went into the break 2-0 up, after Victor Osimhen fired in a penalty that was won by Samuel Kalu.
However, they conceded two goals in as many minutes in the second half. First, Oleksandr Zinchenko dribbled his way through to pull one back, before Roman Yaremchuk bundled in the equalizer.
After the game, Nigeria football fans took to Twitter to criticize the performance of Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon.
Chukwueze who started the game on the right wing was sruntinised for being selfish and wanting to impress at all cost with some individual brilliance.
However, Simon who was a second-half substitute shared a part of the criticism for failing to impress in the game.
